Full details of the changes implemented by the DfE can be found on their website.

If you work with Bright Futures for delivery of your ECTE training (formerly ECF programme) in partnership with Teach First, our ECTP team will be able to answer any questions you have regarding the changes. If your school work with a different training provider/delivery partner, please contact your provider/delivery partner directly for any queries regarding the changes. Our ECTP team will not be able to answer queries relating to other providers.

Please Note: . Although the DfE have made the changes above, the role of the Appropriate Body (AB) has not changed. Appropriate Bodies are still required to check that Early Career Teachers (ECTs) have access to this programme of support and training and where schools have chosen the ‘school-led’ option for training, appropriate bodies are required to ‘fidelity check’ schools planning to ensure it covers the initial teacher training and early career framework (ITTECF) in full.
