Our Governance

The Bright Futures Executive Team operates as a collective governance body, as defined by the Executive Team Meeting Terms of Reference. The Executive Team comprises of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Education, the Director of Development, Partnerships and Teaching School Hubs and the Director of Human Resources and Strategy.

The remit of the Bright Futures Teaching School Hub collective governance body is to:

  • Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction for Bright Futures Teaching School Hubs.
  • Hold the Bright Futures Teaching School Hub Leadership Team to account for the performance of the Teaching School Hubs against the Department for Education (DfE) Key Performance Indicators and Delivery Plan.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Teaching School Hubs, ensuring its money is well spent.
  • Ensure that the Bright Futures Teaching School Hubs comply with the terms of the Grant Offer.
  • Scrutinise and review the key strategic recommendations from the Partnership Advisory Group.
  • Ensure that an annual review is undertaken.
  • Provide regular Teaching School Hub reports to the Bright Futures Board of Trustees.

The Partnership Advisory Group sits alongside and supports the Governance of the Bright Futures Teaching School Hubs. The Partnership Advisory Group brings all of the key stakeholders of the Bright FuturesTeaching School Hubs together to discuss the key issues relating to the functioning of the Teaching School Hubs and how effectively they are achieving their objectives from a stakeholder perspective. Bright Futures Teaching School Hubs will use the feedback from the Group to support its own monitoring processes and to ensure that stakeholder voices are heard in their decision making.
